ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE PRIVATE COACHEE
"This training was a great learning experience for me. I like the form of the class, in fact as it goes on, I feel that time flies. and hope the session will last longer.
I’ve really improved my pronunciation a lot because of this training and now I can say I have much more confidence when speaking publicly. I appreciate Ms. Maclay’s patience with every question I ask, no matter how simple or it is. A smile is always on her face so I feel very comfortable during each class.
Ms. Maclay keeps encouraging me when I am frustrated and praising me when I make progress, even though sometimes it is so little.
I want to say that the learning is not limited to language itself. The training sessions have given me a chance to learn about differences and behavior in daily life, particularly as a professional."
ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE PRIVATE COACHEE
"I could easily sum up everything “technical” I learned – grammar pronunciation, writing—but this would reflect only about 10 percent of what is really important. Besides “technical part,” Ms. Maclay taught me things that I consider responsible for 90 percent of my improvement.
I improved my presentation, conversation and description technique because Ms. Maclay made me speak more slowly. I have known for a long time that I speak too fast, but I could never change because I wasn’t aware of its importance. It is much harder to change something in a person’s mind than just to teach the “technical aspects” of a language. I changed because of the training sessions.
THREE-MONTH WRITING GROUP PARTICIPANT
"Uff…that was an amazing experience. I feel much more comfortable with pen and paper now than I did three months ago. The first thing I learned was – too many words is not always good for my readers. Business writing is client-oriented. The second idea-- after reading your document, before you send it out, you may still find some mistakes. The third, is that, there are many words I should stop using in my e-mails. What else can I say, the class was very interactive."
TWO-DAY WRITING GROUP PARTICIPANT
"I found the instructor to have a great disposition to be helpful, and also very understanding of our time limitations. I am now able to produce an idea and translate it into words in a more orderly way. The training was a good way to learn how to organize my thoughts."
ENGLISH AS ANOTHER LANGUAGE PRIVATE COACHEE
"Ms. Maclay is an outstanding instructor and taught me a great deal about English expressions and life in America. She has a wide range of teaching materials and keeps me improving without making me bored. She is flexible and she easily modifies the content of each class so that the session is best fitted to my needs. She corrects my mistakes in the most understandable and efficient manner. She always encourages me achieve real American English. I can recommend her with confidence."
BUSINESS WRITING GROUP PARTICIPANT
"I love this new way of organizing my thinking. I'm using it not just in writing but when I’m designing, and even in my personal life."
